This was the song we sang in church yesterday, the song that was planned before Friday morning, but suddenly meant so much more, the song that burns in my heart every advent, ever since that night in Vancouver when we lit up Victoria Drive with our candles and our songs, the song that we've introduced everywhere we've been since, the song that is itself a gift of hope. You can listen to it here.
He shall reign
Come broken, come captive
Come all you who mourn
Oh groaning creation, rejoice
A child, a savior, our healing he brings.
What freedom! What consolation!
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He’ll order his kingdom
With justice and peace
Oh merciful one, oh Lamb of God
All nations, all people All heaven and earth
Will bow down and to Him proclaim
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign
He shall reign (He shall reign), He shall reign

I would think this would have multiple layers of meaning for you this year. Be well, and blessed Christmas, my friend.
